He loves me for me... and the dead mouse in my bed

Nightmare on 52nd Street:
Friday October 22nd started as any other morning. My alarm went off at 6, 6:10, 6:20, and finally at 6:30 I rolled over and turned on the news. A little while later I got up, stumbled into the shower then threw on jeans (I luuurve Fridays) and whatever looked decent. Thank GOD Roo has been out of work with a bad back because what transpired next was horrifying. As I said before, I was unsurprisingly running late and when I ran into the bedroom to grab my phone off the charger, I saw it...asdhifa;sjdgha;lsdhgaoisd A dead frickin mouse laying on the floor right next to my bed RIGHT next to where my head would be. I screamed loud and long until Roo came running in laughing, thinking that it was just a centipede (I probably would have reacted the same way had it been a centipeded... actually I have and I'm not proud of it). When he realized what it was, he grabbed some kleenex and I ran, ran to the opposite end of the house until that dead thing was gone. To make matters worse, Roo called me at work to let me know that he had found blood in the bed... MY SIDE OF THE BED! So sick. Puck was just trying to show me his love and all that bullshit, I know but that does not make up for how ungodly disgusting it was. sdghask;gh;asdhg;asdjghas... I can still see it's nasty work tail and stiff little body laying there.
Foul...
Roo, you are my knight in shining armor. Thank you for not laughing at me when I freak out at little dead things and also for saving my life.

Can Someone Pinch Me?

Roo and I have been flirting with the idea of buying a house for months and decided to actively search a few weeks ago. Little did we know that we would find the house of our dreams, the house we can raise a family in, right away, but we did! 2 days after seeing it for the first time, we knew that it was ours and the rest is history. Now, we're at the mercy of the bank (short sales suck) and have no definite closing date as of yet... and our lease is up.

Yeay for impulsivity!

Oh Me-Oh My!!!

They're at it again!!! My boys of summer are taking on the Yankees for the second game of the ALDS and I couldn't be more excited and positive about our post season outlook. I am a baseball fan through and through. It runs through my body, my veins, my blood. My dad comes from a small town in SouthWestern Minnesota (big ups Milroy!) where baseball is the way of life. Naturally, that way moved to the cities with my dad and into our home. I've played softball from the time is was 7 years old and count those memories on the field as some of the best.

With that being said... I am shitting my pants right now as the bases are loaded in the bottom of the second with Thome coming up to the plate... dare I even call it???

I had the luxury of sitting in the champions club seats on opening day of Target Field. What an unbelievable experience, one that I will never forget and will always be indebted to my dad for.

I love you, Dad!

just a few thoughts for tonight...

Welcome October!

Today means another fresh start in one of the best months to be a Minnesotant. I think that anyone who lives here, even those just visiting can agree that October in Minnesota has the best weather, the most beauty that could rival any other month in any other state in the US. Right now, I'm looking out my window and I see a bright, cloudless blue sky, all shades of green, red, orange and yellow that you can imagine and the clean, crisp autumn air is so refreshing, I just love it!

Welcome October! Please stay a while...
